Fav Five: Living Rooms

Today, I'm kicking off a new series on Label Me Organized called 'Fav Five".  What's going to happen is each week, I'm going to focus on a new space or area of a home.  I'll then showcase my five current favorite examples of that space.  Let's start with the living room, shall we?

If you wish to pin one of the images below, please do so from their original source.  If you wish to pin this post directly, you can use the pin above.  Thanks!

For me, the living room is the center of a home.  It is often one of the first rooms you see when you walk in a house.  So the style and feel of your living room can set a tone for the rest of your house.  A living room is a place to sit and chat with friends, a place to unwind at the end of the day, and a place to spend time with your family.  With all that a living room offers, it deserves to look its best.  Here are my favorite living room spaces at the moment:

Grey and yellow living roomGrey and yellow living room

This grey and yellow living room from 346 Living is the perfect mix of sweet and sassy.  The calming whites and yellows mixed with the pops of silver offer a traditional feel with a modern twist.  I am absolutely in love with the tufted ottoman, and would love one just like it for my living room.  The frame wall hung in a perfect grid also makes my OCD heart pitter-patter.  I love the look of large frames with thick mats displayed that way.

White living room with small pops of color

I love the clean, crisp feeling of this room.  It gives off a very sophisticated vibe, but uses a couple bright and bold patterns to stay away from being too serious.  I am especially smitten with the green trellis pattern on the two chairs.  And I would love to have a white couch, but a certain furry, black dog makes that dream a little unrealistic.

Feminine pink and black living roomFeminine pink and black living room

If you don't already know, I have an intense love for the color pink.  Anyone who has seen my room can attest to that fact.  This living room perfectly showcases a beautiful, feminine space featuring my favorite color.  And it does so while still looking oh so grown up and classy.  Oh to live in a bachelorette pad and be able to buy a pink couch...don't think Melissa would go for that ;).  Another thing I am just drooling over are those beautiful stools.  Those I could totally bring into my home...

Neutral living room with many pops of bright color

This living room from House Beautiful just makes me so happy!  I love a base of clean white with a bunch of pops of color.  And this room has just that!  This room's color palette is actually pretty similar to the look I'm (slowly) going for in my own living room.  I also love all the geometric patterns on the pillows and curtains.

White, pink and green living room

My final selection for my five favorite livings rooms is this one found here.  Again, I'm a sucker for a neutral backdrop with a bunch of fun, bright colors layered in.  And how cool is that bench in front of the fireplace?  Those curtains are awesome too.  I actually have some plans for striped curtains of my own up my sleeve, so stay tuned to see those in the (hopefully) near future!

Are you excited for this new series?  I know I am!  With these round-ups of my favorite spaces, I hope to take inspiration and apply it to my own home.  I hope you'll do the same!  So which of these rooms is your favorite?  Do you prefer bright pops of color like me?  Or are you a more dark and moody living room person?
