Fav Five: Offices

Round up of organized and inspirational offices from labelmeorganized.blogspot.com

Hello all!  Today we're going to look at my favorite space of all time... the home office.  There's something about the organization and functionality of office spaces that I can't get enough of.  While my office is just a corner in my bedroom right now, Melissa and I are planning on getting a 2 bedroom place next time around, so we can make the second bedroom into a home office.

I am super psyched for this and am already planning out my vision for the space.  I love these Fav Five posts, because it really allows me to pick out my five favorite examples of a room, then look for common themes between each rooms.  These are things I normally wouldn't automatically know I had a preference for, and once I find them, I can incorporate them into my own rooms.  So here are my five favorite office spaces of the moment:

This office is from one of my favorite bloggers, Megan from Honey We're Home.  She recently changed her office space to a more neutral black and white (which still looks ah-mazing) but I generally like lighter and brighter colors.  What I'm really crazy for is her awesome desk, and of course, the expedit.  Since I've gone expedit in my 'office' I can't ever imagine going back.  There's just so much storage possibility!

This office has been a long time favorite of mine.  It is just so calm and clutter free.  I can see getting some serious distraction-free work done in here.  And I almost always try and place my desk under a window.  I just love having that naturally light shining in right there, and being able to take the occasional break to look outside.

This office is a new find, but I fell hard for it right away.  I love the dark and moody greys mixed with the bright and happy yellows.  And how cool is that partially concealed shelving on either side of the desk?  Of course, I can't forget those beautiful curtains and rug.  Serious crush for some geometric patterns.

What isn't to love about Young House Love's double home office.  The fact that they built that entire built-in desk themselves just puts the cherry on this cake of office-envy.  My favorite parts of this office has to be a tie between those super cool lime green chairs and the artwork with colorful mats.  Those two punches of color really make the otherwise-neutral space.

Jen from iHeart Organizing always finds a way to knock it out of the part with storage and organization.  And obviously, her office is a shining example of this.  Everything she could need is within arms reach in beautiful and functional shelves surrounding the desk.  This office is also still a work in project, as she's adding an extra studio workspace to the room.

Even though this is still in the progress stage, it is already an obvious show stopper.  That dark grey wall against the bright white cabinets, and that amazing ombre portable cabinet... all just make my heart melt.  I cannot wait to see where this space ends up!

And that finishes up my favorite office spaces!  I am definitely now considering having grey walls in my next office since 3 out of those 5 spaces boast grey walls.  White furniture is definitely a no-brainer (all of my favorite offices have that), and I'm halfway there with my white expedit desk.

Do you have a home office?  I'd love to see your spaces, feel free to link them up in the comments below!  What do you find you couldn't live without in your office area?  It it ample storage, or a clear surface for distraction-free work?

  1. White furniture is not really a no-brainer but it's kind of common. Anyway, we look forward to how grey walls look like in an office.

    1. It may not be for others, but white furniture is my no-brained design choice, I'm just always drawn to it when shopping for new pieces!
