Feel free to follow along (or jump in and out depending on your needs) and make your own Home Management Binder as I whip mine into shape!  Many of the organizational tools and tips you''l see here can be used in other types of home management systems as well, if binders aren't your thing.

The last couple weeks I've shown you how I organize all the information about my family and our pets.  Today I'm going outside the home to show you how I keep track of all my various school information.  Since I have a separate binder dedicated to my actually schoolwork for the semester, this section of the binder is geared more towards big picture information.

Some pages contain sensitive personal information, so I have  chosen to photograph certain documents blank so as to protect myself and those I love.

My first two pages in this section are both Melissa and my schedules of classes for the current semester.  The schedules show both the name and the times of the classes.  This way both of us will know when either of us has a class.

I have also added a copy of each of these to my Schedules section for easy reference when planning the upcoming week.  Each semester, these pages will be update to our current schedules.  Thankfully though I will only be needing this section for one more semester before I graduate!

After our schedules, I have included a modified contacts page.  This is where I can write down all my professors' information in one easy to locate place.  I have spaces for their email address, phone numbers and office location and hours.  Now instead of flipping through several syllabuses, all this information is right at my fingertips.

This page will also be updated with the change of semesters.

After all the general information specific to the current semester, I have several pages that help me to organize my overall college progress.  First, there is a page I downloaded from my school which helps track my GenEd requirements.  This is a great reference to show what I have completed, and which sections I still have to satisfy.

Next, I have a complete packet of all the optional classes for each GenEd requirement.  I like to keep a hard copy of this for reference when I'm trying to choose classes.

After all the information related to my GenEds, I have all the same for my requirements of my Psychology major.  First is the list to track what I have taken and what classes I still need to take.

Next I have a printout from the Department of Psychology at my school which gives me important information about my major, and a list of classes required to graduate with that major.

And there is my complete school section.  It is a pretty simple section, filled mostly with reference material, but very important to include non the less.

Now it's your turn, how do you organize all necessary information related to your/your child's schooling?  Any almost college-grads out there that can join me in a virtual halle-freaking-lujah?

Join me next Friday as I take you through my Cleaning section, complete with lists, schedules and records to help me keep my home in tip top shape.
