Home Management Binder: Vehicle



Welcome back to the Home Management Binder Series!  I am sharing my process of creating a home management binder, and hope to pass along some inspiration to others for managing their household.  For those of you just joining us, here is a quick rundown of the schedule for this series.

Feel free to follow along (or jump in and out depending on your needs) and make your own Home Management Binder as I whip mine into shape!  Many of the organizational tools and tips you''l see here can be used in other types of home management systems as well, if binders aren't your thing.

This week I have a super simple binder section that packs a lot of organizational punch.  I'll show you how I keep everything needed to keep my car running nice and smooth in this week's Vehicle section.


The first and only printable I have in this section is an Auto Maintenance Log.  I was super busy with school this week (2 research proposals due on the same day!) so I wasn't able to make my own...but I do have one better.  You can get this printable from Organized Home Life for FREE!


This page provides a place to keep track of everything needed to keep your ride running smoothly.  I'm so excited to get this baby going, I'm thinking about going to get my oil changed so I can start filling it out!  I also love that below each maintenance task, this page shows after how many miles you should do each task.  So if it's been 15K miles since I got my breaks checked, I know I'm passed due for getting them looked at!

After this super printable, I have a sub-section that holds all "official" records from my car.  This includes descriptions of work I've had done on the car (ex: my passenger side floor used to flood...yupp standing water in my car), records of my emissions testing and anything else car-related that I feel I should keep for records sake.

There you have my Vehicle section.  Sweet, simple and to the point.  As always though, I'd love to hear suggestions to add to this section.  I've heard of people keeping track of their gas mileage, which I think would be awesome for this section, but I have an app on my phone that works perfectly for that.  Any other ideas?

Next Friday will be our final Home Management Binder section!  This one is going to be a doozy, and I even put it off for the end of the series because I needed more time to work on it.  That's right, it's my cleaning section next week!  Hopefully, by next Friday I will have a list and schedule for cleaning every nook and cranny of my apartment.  That's the plan anyways, #morethanicanchew?  Hope to see you here next week, and enjoy your Thanksgiving!
