Fav Five: Laundry Rooms

Hello everyone!  I wanted to start by thanking all of you who celebrated my Blogiversary with me this past weekend!  If you missed the celebratory posts, you can find them here and here.  I can't wait to jump right into my second year, and work to make Label Me Organized the best that I can.  Hope you'll hang around and see where year 2 takes us :)

This week on Fav Five, we are focusing on the laundry room.  Now, I am not fortunate enough to have an entire room dedicated to laundry in my apartment, but I do have a little laundry nook.  If you don't have an actual laundry room either, don't worry!  You can still take inspiration from these pictures and apply it to wherever you keep your washer and dryer, even if its in a little closet tucked away in a hallway.

This calm and happy laundry room just makes me smile.  It seems impossible to be stressed out about your endless laundry piles in this relaxing space.  I especially adore that cute little shelf that spans the length of the machines.  It pulls double duty for both function (storing towels and detergents and such) and ambiance (with decorative accents like that darling starfish).  This laundry room is also blessed with a ton of storage, which is always in demand.  I would probably store all my cleaning supplies in here to make the entire room a cleaning room.

It is hard not to fall completely head over heels in love with anything Jen from iHeart Organizing does.  She always finds ways to go the extra step and "make it pretty".  And pretty it sure is!  I am over the moon for that cute embellished "Laundry" metal basin.  And as always her space is full of function as well.  The lettered baskets can each correspond to one of her three sons, and the cute jar filled with clothes pins is handy for delicate line-dry items.  You'll have to check out the rest of the room to truly appreciate is awesomeness.

I can't get enough of this stenciled wall.  For such a small space, it makes such a huge and immediate impact.  And I am a complete sucker for geometric patterns.  Seriously, heart skips a beat.  Add some awesome wrap around shelves for storage and I am so sold!

This laundry room has been circulating its way around Pinterest, and for good reason!  This room is another small space that was made to look not so small and sad with a few simple updates.  First she painted her concrete floor.  I'll repeat that...she painted her concrete floor.  Genius right?  The mix of open shelving and a cabinet also allows some storage to be pretty, and some to be hidden away (some things you just don't want to have to worry about making to look presentable)

My final favorite laundry room is from the one and only Young House Love.  I love that they took what was essentially a small nook off a side entrance of their house, and truly made it into a laundry room.  The custom built in shelves are of course, my favorite part.  They didn't waste a single nook or cranny when designing this room.  And how cool is that clothespin light fixture?  Adds a crazy amount of fun, while playing off the laundry room theme.

So which of these laundry rooms was your favorite?  Are you one of those lucky few who have an entire room dedicated to laundry?  Do you love the idea of decorating and brightening up a laundry room to make the task a little more bearable?  Let me know in the comments!
