September at a Glance

How is it September already?  I feel like it was just the beginning of August, saying goodbye to summer and starting the fall semester!  I don't mind too much though.  As much as I'm fearing the cold (which seems like it's never going to make it to Maryland) I'm happy time is moving it's way along.  The faster time flies the faster I'm done this crazy busy semester, and the faster Christmas comes!  Yea I know, it's not even Halloween... but apparently I'm one of those people who start counting down 3 months ahead.  Who knew?

Anyways, it's October, which means it's time for another Month at a Glance post.  So let's see what happened around here on Label Me Organized last month.

Tour of an organized planner from labelmeorganized.blogspot.com

I gave you guys a tour of the planner I had been using thus far for 2013.  It was a simple planner, just months and weeks at a glance pages, but it did it's job well.  I shared a little bit about how I use my planner, and gave some tips for organizing your own!

L'amour Chez Nous's organized entry shared on labelmeorganized.blogspot.com

I was super excited to share with you guys the first guest post on Label Me Organized, by one of my favorite renter decor blogs.  Lauren from L'amour Chez Nous shared all about how she organizes her front entry hall.  She has some great tips, and I know a few more things got added to my to-do list after seeing some of her ideas!

DIY Repurposed Rotating Spice Rack to Desk Organizer by labelmeorganized.blogspot.com

I also shared with you guys about how a tool meant for the kitchen ended up being the perfect solution to organizing my desk.  My thrift store spice rack now neatly holds all my small office odds and ends.  It has been great having everything within reach, but not cluttering up my entire desk surface.

Coming Soon: Label Me Organized on Etsy, see more at labelmeorganized.blogspot.com

Next I shared some exciting plans that I've been brewing up for quite some time now.  Label Me Organized will soon be making an appearance over on Etsy!  You guys love my free printables so much, I decided I'd try my hand at running my own printables shop.  I've been working non-stop on my new set of printables which will be available with the shop's grand opening.  Follow me on Instagram for some sneak peaks of what you can expect to be for sale!

Round-up of organized planers by labelmeorganized.blogspot.com

Of course, sprinkled throughout the month were various round-ups as part of the Fav Five series.  First up I showed you my all time favorite organizational planners from around blogland.  These are the planners of gods.  Seriously, these women have mad organizational skills.  Go check out there planners.  You will not regret it.  Major organizational eye candy going on.

Round-up of different uses for washi tape from labelmeorganized.blogspot.com

Then I shared a bunch of different ways to use the almighty washi tape.  Washi tape seems to have taken over the crafting world by storm. However, many people still don't know that it's greatness can go way beyond decorative embellishment.  From organization to personalization to beautification, this little tape can do it all! And now I feel like a made-for-tv sales person ;)

Round-up of different projects using chalkboard paint by labelmeorganized.blogspot.com

Next we had a round up of awesome Pinterest worthy chalkboard projects.  Chalkboard paint is another DIY heavy hitter that can be used for just about any project.  My favorite part of the chalkboard paint craze is the emergence of chalkboard fonts popularity.  I love me a good type face! #typographynerd

Round-up of organized command centers from labelmeorganized.blogspot.com

Finally, we finished off the month with five organized command centers.  I've been working on a plan for a command center of my own, so I took this opportunity to study these awesome examples and take note on what I'd like to incorporate into my own organized entry system.  Follow the blog to see how my command center turns out!

It was definitely a project light month, but with starting a new job and juggling classes, I haven't been able to find the time to take on much around the apartment.  Things have definitely picked up a little on the project front in October, as I've gotten a little more accustomed to my new schedule.  I have some pretty exciting posts to share with you over the next couple of weeks, so stick around!  Easily follow along by subscribing by email in the sidebar, I'll love you forever if you do!
